Healthy Life Yoga has been offering classes in the Richmond area since 2003. The studio is a clean, open space with carpeted flooring and a quiet peaceful atmosphere to de-stress and replenish vital energy.
Our classes are small for personalized attention and guidance. We teach traditional hatha yoga that has been passed down for over 5,000 years, and believe a well-rounded yoga practice including not only physical poses, but also breathing techniques, guided relaxation and meditation, will maximize your ability to stay healthy and happy.
Our classes and programs accommodate a variety of student abilities from the brand new to the seasoned student. We encourage beginners to explore the many physical and mental benefits of yoga, and the more experienced to deepen their understanding of the practice.
We look forward to having you join us!

Healthy Thoughts
Thoughts have a powerful impact on our ability to achieve goals in life. They can support us or hold us back. Try this positive affirmation to help you achieve your goals.
"I enjoy being healthy and doing what's good for me."
Sometimes we resist doing what is in our best interest because we have a natural resistance to change, or we feel unworthy of good things in our lives. Remember with self-improvement we open up to the manifestation of positive things which include new learning experiences, friends and activities. Do not let fear of the unknown hold you back from achieving your life goals.
- adapted from Gifts of the Goddess cards
by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber.
The mind is more receptive when it is relaxed. Sit comfortably in a quiet location. Close the eyes and take a few deep breaths. Practice repeating this affirmation to yourself for five to ten minutes, daily, without distraction. If throughout the day your find yourself engaging in negative inner dialog, counter its effects by repeating this affirmation. Practice for a month to receive the full benefit.
