Designed for moms-to-be at any time during their pregnancy.

Congratulations! Pregnancy can be one of the most beautiful times of your life!

The prenatal yoga program at Healthy Life Yoga is designed to prepare you for your unique birth experience, both physically and mentally, while relieving the stresses that are put on your body. Prenatal Yoga may also help alleviate other discomforts such as low back pain, sciatica, and swelling. Yoga can also help with the emotional and mental stress of pregnancy, including restless sleep.

Classes include relaxation and breathing techniques as well as poses to promote muscle toning, strength, balance and improve focus.

A prenatal yoga class is a great way to meet other pregnant women and feel a sense of community in a healthy supportive environment. Prenatal classes are on-going and students may join anytime.

Currently, prenatal classes are offered on Sunday from 4:30 – 5:45 pm. Registration can be done through our online class schedule.

    Hello, I am interested in starting pre natal yoga. I haven’t exercised at al through my pregnancy and I am currently 30 weeks and feeling the effects of lack of exercise on my body. Is this something I can still do and start so late in my pregnancy?

      Hi, Melissa! As long as your doctor has not advised against it for any reason, it is fine to come in for classes during this time. Prenatal yoga, as opposed to traditional yoga classes, are specifically for the needs of the pregnant body, so fitness level or yoga experience is not required. And yoga itself is designed so that you go to what is comfortable for your body each time, with options for going further or pulling back a bit. Classes meet on Tuesday nights and you can pre-register online.

    Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve been taking the pre-natal yoga classes for about a month now. I’m so happy that they were an option at Healthy Life Yoga. I look forward to the class every week (I actually wish I could take them twice a week). It is a great way to stretch, relax, and feel active, even when you’re pregnant.
